Books by humans, for real human readers

At Liberty Ink, we curate rare, vintage, and quality used books and ephemera for real humans who really love books. We’re a small, family-owned, independent bookseller. Liberty Ink started during the COVID-19 pandemic, drop-shipping books from our personal library. Over the next several years, we grew a good business selling on mega sites, like one that rhymes with Shmamazon. Concerns over the mega sites’ business practices eventually got the better of us, especially when it was made public that one of those sites has been bulk-buying rare and antique books, scanning them into AI techno-gibberish, then destroying the books. Destroying. Books. Bibliocide. We dumped the mega selling sites, and moved here to our own site, where we have more control over our sales, and the ability to tell the Shmamazon buyers to get bent like the spine of a cheap paperback. We sell real books, written by real humans, for real human readers. We hope you’ll take this journey with us, and find a great book to love. —James Neal, founder and curator, Liberty Ink Books
